The Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC), which moved to its current location on Islington St. in 2013, is a nonprofit community music and arts school serving the Seacoast area. 

PMAC offers music and art lessons for kids and adults (both one-on-one and in group settings), as well as youth and adult music ensembles, Kindermusic classes, and art and music therapy.

Opened in 2011, The Loft is a new performance and education space operated by the The Music Hall.

It offers a variety of programs for children and adults in a more modern, more casual setting.
