Come and meet the Ghosts on the Banke at Strawbery Banke’s famous Halloween celebration. Long-dead sea captains, 17th century shopkeepers and wayward pirates haunt the streets of Portsmouth’s oldest neighborhood as you trick or treat safely from house to historic house.

Dover's Apple Harvest Day has been an annual fall tradition since 1984. The event features a 5K road race, various musical performances, a pancake breakfast, pony rides, various amusements, food concessions, a petting zoo, and more.

Children's Day is held in downtown Portsmouth every year on the first Sunday in May. The event includes various family-friendly activities and entertainment, and children are encouraged to wear a costume of their choice.

The Annual Hampton Beach Children's Festival returns this year to delight both the young and young at heart. Free!
Magic shows, puppets, storytellers, contests and much more are just a prelude to the main event, a huge costume parade at 11:00 am on August 21 that runs down Ocean Boulevard to the Seashell Stage - everyone gets a prize!
