New Castle's Great Island Common is a lovely 32-acre public park that includes a beach, large grassy area, and a playground.
Open from 9 am - 9 pm every day year-round, the Great Island Common is a carry-in/carry-out park. There is a small admission fee for non-New Castle residents.
Dogs are prohibited from May 15th through September 15th; leashed dogs are permitted the rest of the year.

There are four sandy beaches in Wells, ME, three of which are open to the public:
- Wells Beach
- Crescent Beach
- Drake's Island Beach
- Moody Beach (private: pass-through walking only)
There are various public parking lots in the area; during the summer season, the fee for cars is $16 per day or $80 for 10-visit tokens, which are available at the Wells Town Hall and may also be available in limited quantities from the parking lot attendants....

There are three sandy beaches in York, ME, all within easy walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants (listed from south to north):

The Hampton Beach Strip boasts numerous amusements, restaurants, places to stay, and shops. Click here for the calendar of events. There are dozens of concerts and events throughout the year, including:

Kingston State Park, on the shores of Great Pond, is 14 miles from the New Hampshire seacoast and is close to many area attractions, such as Canobie Lake Park, The Fox Run Mall, various antique shops, and fine restaurants.
