The Children's Museum of New Hampshire is a wonderful place for families, with rotating hands-on exhibits throughout and a dedicated room for little ones age 3 and under. Founded in 1983 in Portsmouth, the museum moved to its current Dover location in 2008.
The entire facility is wheelchair-accessible, and service animals are always welcome. Additionally, noise-cancelling headphones are available to borrow at the front desk.

Magic shows, puppets, storytellers, contests and much more are just a prelude to the main event, a huge costume parade at 11:00 am on August 21 that runs down Ocean Boulevard to the Seashell Stage - everyone gets a prize!

Coppal House Farm offers a 6.5-acre corn maze that opens in late August, as well as pumpkin picking, wagon rides, and sleigh rides and carriage rides in the wintertime. There's also a farmers' market that sells pork, lamb, chicken, and free-range eggs.
Additionally, the farm offers hands-on workshops where participants work closely with the farm's draft horses.

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource bringing animals and people together. It provides adoption, education, investigation, and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way.
