The Urban Forestry Center is used as a tree farm to demonstrate proper forest management, a bird and wildlife sanctuary, a garden and landscape demonstration site, and as a learning center offering information and programming in community forestry planning, forest management, ecology, tree and plant identification, and wildlife stewardship.
The Urban Forestry Center offers a series of self-guided trails used for walking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
