"Ogunquit" means "Beautiful place by the sea" in Abenaki, and Ogunquit Beach is a perennial fixture on top-beach lists. It boasts approximately 3.5 miles of lovely white sand and can be accessed by three main entrances:
- Main Beach, off Beach Street in the heart of Ogunquit
- Footbridge Beach, off Ocean Street
- North Beach, off Bourne Ave. in Wells
Each entrance has parking and restrooms, and the Ogunquit Trolley serves both the Main Beach and Footbridge Beach.
Do check the tide schedule before your visit, as the sandy portion of the beach gets mighty small during high tide.
