The Blue Ocean Discovery Center's mission is to provide a family-friendly attraction at Hampton Beach where visitors can learn about marine life, local and maritime history, and the actions they can take to protect the marine environment.
It is operated by the Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to protect marine mammals in the Gulf of Maine through education, research, and conservation.
The Blue Ocean Discovery Center features two touch tanks and a variety of other hands-on activities, including a different take-home craft every day. It’s also available year-round for school programs, group visits, and birthday parties.
